David Lathrop, the driving force behind OPP Excavating & Construction, brings over 30 years of experience to the construction industry. His journey started at the age of 13 when he began working in his family's business as a laborer. This early exposure sparked a lifelong passion and laid a solid foundation for his professional development.
David pursued higher education at Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC), graduating in 1992 with an Associate Degree in Business Management. This academic achievement, coupled with years of practical hands-on experience, enabled him to master the operation of heavy machinery and solidify his expertise in the field.
Following his education, David embarked on a journey across the country, contributing to and managing some of the most significant construction projects from Florida to New York over the past three decades. His diverse experience has honed his skills and deepened his knowledge of the industry.
Today, OPP Excavating & Construction is a New York State certified contractor with U Dig certified excavators, trusted by municipalities, commercial property owners, and homeowners across the Finger Lakes for everything from emergency water main repairs to large-scale construction projects.
